Subject: September Art News

Hello everyone,

Thanks so much to all of you who stopped by the Vancouver Wine and
Jazz Festival, it was great to see everyone! The JSO¹s Hall of Fame
ceremony was also a great event, and the portrait I did of Art Abrams
was very well received (I will have prints soon!) I¹ve included a
photo of Art and his portrait below.

My next show is a group show, "Music and the Artist" at the Gresham
City Hall Visual Arts Gallery, 1333 NW Eastman Parkway, Gresham. I
will have four paintings on display as part of this show. There will
be an artist¹s reception on September 15th at 6pm, and the show will
be up until October 15. Hope to see you there! See my interview in
the Gresham Outlook:

In addition to my musician portraits, I am now taking orders for the
holidays for family portraits. This year, I am also doing high school
senior portraits. If you would like a pencil portrait for a gift or
for a high school student, it¹s not too soon to place your order. I
usually get busy with commissions as the holidays get closer, and
would like to be able to guarantee that holiday portraits will be
finished by December. There are many new portraits up on my website,
including Mel Brown¹s wonderful family (all 17 of them!) See their
family portrait on my website:

Just in case you missed itŠmy favorite bluesman, Pinetop Perkins,
celebrated his 96th birthday in July! The Austin news did a great
piece on him, and my painting of Pinetop is in the video! To watch
it, visit Pinetop¹s website,, or click
the link under his portrait on my website:

Save the dates: Portland Open Studios, October 10&11 and October
